Most amputees face a constant question that demonstrates their physical and emotional pain:
"Why did God let this happen to me?"
We cannot fully answer this question, but we want to be part of God's loving answer by providing prosthetic legs to help meet the needs of amputees and their families.
When a patient received a prosthesis for the first time, they cannot automatically walk with it. They need to go through rehabilitation before, during and after the fitting of the LIMBS prosthesis in order to regain their mobility.
The process needs to include emotional and spiritual healing for the patient and their family. After the trauma of amputation, the patient and family suffer constant economic, social, and emotional pressures.
Our ultimate goal is for the patient and their family to regain independent mobility. We desire to see them return to normalcy in every respect. Many of our patients are now employed and feel like a part of society again, or the are going back to school to train for better employment.
