DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
The Dominican Republic is the most visited destination in the Caribbean. However, behind the year-round golf courses and pristine beaches lives a population that often struggles to make ends meet. With close to half of the population living below the poverty line, there is little hope for amputees to regain their ability to walk again. This need is multiplied when amputees from neighboring Haiti make their way to the DR looking for some form of assistance.
