​Fransisco Javier Godinez lives in Tonala, Mexico. He describes his experience: "I'm 35 years old with diabetes, and since I was diagnosed I've been having problems, first with my foot and then with my whole leg. Everything has been a mismanagement of my illness and not taking care of myself. Before my amputation I was a driver of cars, and my habits did not help much with my illness but I continued to work until I got an ulcer that became infected and hooked the leg. I thank God and the association that has supported me a lot. Barely 8 days and I feel favored. With this I can be freely walking, and little by little I will return to work as before.”
