Jose Garcia

Working as a baker in Tlaquepaque, Mexico, Jose Luis Garcia had no idea his life was about to change. Jose never had any health problems, so he never suspected he was diabetic. One day while working, he dropped a knife and cut his leg. Soon that cut began to grow infected. As the infection grew, the pain increased and soon Jose went to the doctor. Unfortunately, the doctor could not do anything to heal his leg, and an amputation was performed. After the procedure, it was hard for Jose to find happiness. Over the course of the next two years, Jose battled numerous illnesses and infections. Jose knew he needed help. He reached out and asked for help in a clinic that was partnering with LIMBS.
After being fit with his new LIMBS leg, he met Valentin. Valentin helped Jose get a job and helped him keep his spirits up. Now, Jose can move and walk more, and he realizes he has been given another chance to build his life.
