Jose Macias

Picture
Jose Macias was a chauffeur living in Guadalajara. His days were spent sitting and driving and eating the first thing he could find. These bad habits led Jose to suffer from diabetes; however, he mismanaged his disease and continued on with his normal lifestyle. One day, he accidentally got a cut on his leg. An infection soon took over his leg, and Jose went to the hospital. Once at the hospital, the doctors feared that the infection would continue to spread. The only way to save Jose's life was to amputate his leg and stop the infection.
Jose was not one to just lay around and do nothing. He knew he needed to work to provide for himself. He soon found a clinic that was partnering with LIMBS. After receiving his new leg, he started making steps to rebuild his life. Jose is making connections to find a car he can handle so he can work again, and he is working to control his diabetes and become productive.
