Jose Ruiz

​Jose Ruiz was a hard working son living in El Salvador. Everything he did was to help his parents. One day, he noticed some hard bumps in his legs. He went to the doctor to have them checked out. The doctor returned to deliver some bad news; Jose had cancer. To save Jose’s life, the doctor needed to amputate his leg in order to stop the cancer from spreading.
Jose was devastated by the loss, but he refused to let his family down. He searched all over the area to find a clinic that would give him a prosthetic. He finally found a clinic that was partnering with LIMBS International and thanks to the efforts of donors, he was able to be fit for a new leg and receive rehab. He now is regaining his independence and ability to provide for his parents.
