Manuel Puentes

Picture
Manuel Ernesto was a machine operator living in El Salvador. One night at a party, Manuel was taking some trash out when he stepped on some glass. The glass went through his shoe and made a cut in his foot. He went and washed his foot out, but it was not properly cleaned. His wound became infected and soon became gangrenous. He went to the doctor and was soon told that there was nothing they could do to reverse the infection. An amputation was needed.
After the amputation, Manuel lost his job. He attempted to make his own legs to get around, but for some reason or another, they always fell apart. One day, he came to a clinic that was partnering with LIMBS. He was soon fitted for a leg and was given the rehab he needed. Now that Manuel has a new leg, he is making great strides to be independent again.
