Maria Aguayo

While working in her little shop in Mexico, Maria de los Angeles Aguayo fell. She tried to catch herself but ended up falling and injuring her leg. She took herself to the doctor, but all the doctors did for her was explain that her leg was twisted and put a splint on her leg. The doctors never imagined that her leg was damaged. Little by little, her leg became infected. Soon her leg became hooked and the leg needed to be amputated. Not wanting to feel like a burden on her family, she sought out a prosthetic limb and found a clinic partnering with LIMBS International.
 
Maria is learning how to rebuild her life again. Now that she has her prosthesis, she can walk again, and she is very happy. Now she is working alongside her husband in their store.
