Phorn
Phorn Srenyok is a loving mother and wife that lives in Cambodia. As a child she had a birth defect. She was born in 1997 without her right leg. Her childhood was very limited until she received her first prosthesis in 2009. Phorn was excited to finally walk with her peers, however her legs kept needing repairs and kept collapsing on her. She needed new leg every 2 years.
Since then, she has married and stays at home with her baby boy while her husband provides for her and her son. Although, she knew that someday he son would learn to walk. Phorn wanted to walk along with him, but she knew it would be harder if she kept using her prosthesis’ that kept breaking. She heard of a clinic that partnered with Limbs. She decided to go and give it a try. Once she made it to the clinic she was refitted and given physical rehab. After walking on her new leg Phorn says leg feels more stable and firm. She looks forward to watching her son grow and being able to walk beside him as he himself learns to walk.
