Ramachandran
In the fall of 2012, Ramachandran found himself in dire straits. The married father of two young children lost his leg in a wreck while traveling home in the car used to transport workers in India.
A laborer harvesting tea leaves and coffee beans, Ramachandran had not been able to work for five months after his right leg was amputated. However, his ability to support his family has been restored, thanks to the LIMBS Relief Knee. Ramachandran has returned to work after being fitted with his new prosthetic in late January 2013. Strong from continual manual labor over the years, Ramachandran was walking on our Relief Knee within a half hour. He is excited to work again and puts the knee through rugged use on a daily basis, as his job requires him to walk up and down mountains. |
