Unable to afford a car, Viraj got to and from school each day on his bicycle. One day as he navigated the busy streets of his city, a truck slammed into him, injuring his leg. Despite the doctors’ best efforts, they had no choice but to remove his damaged leg. Unable to return to school and with no job or money to pay for a prosthetic leg, Viraj’s future looked bleak.
However, Viraj found new hope when he heard about a clinic that had some donated legs and were providing free of charge. He visited the clinic and was soon fitted with a LIMBS leg system.
